The Piecemakers created a one-of-a-kind quilt called "Stories from Around the World" which they donated to the Akwesasne Freedom School. The Freedom School teaches Mohawk students all of the usual subjects along with Mohawk language, their history and traditions.   The hope is that the students will feel pride in who they are and have all the skills that they will need in today's world. This quilt consists of 23 blocks and was made not only to help the school raise funds to continue their good work, but also to show support for the efforts of the students, teachers and parents.
